Happy Halloween

This project is NOT a Halloween project but just wanted to say 'No Tricks, Just Treats' for you!
This little bowl was made using the Blossom box die and I saw it on Betty Traciak's Blog! She also has another style I hope to make for you soon (see above). I am so happy to see something made with this as well as the little gift box! I used a piece of retired Valentine paper.
The second bowl is from retired Halloween paper! They are just so cute. Check it out.
It's one of those die's you have to practice with a little for a good result! Just have fun with it! Thanks for stopping by and stay safe if you go out trick or treating!
Until next time!

Sour Cream Containters

I decided to make some sour cream containers filled with candy out of my retired Christmas Paper and using the matching fabric for embellishments. These are quite big since I used a 6 x 6 piece of cardstock. Smaller ones are recommended but... why not?
They make great little gifts and you can fill them with anything that will fit, not necessarily candy! (Ah--Chocolate!)

Double Door Card

This was inspired by Lynn Pratt! How neat! Hers is much better than mine but you get the idea. Lynn also has a FREE template. I didn't use her template, I just made my own.
It is a double door; the card base is Cherry Cobbler (it looks like Real Red in the picture) and will fit a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 standard envelope. It was lots of fun to make. The wreaths are punched and I used the narrow ribbon from SU for the little bows. JOY is stamped inside with lots of room for a message.
Until next time!

Halloween Layout

This is the Halloween 12x12 Layout we will be doing at my next scrapbooking class. Start to finish and all you need to do is insert your pictures! Pumpkin Pie is the main color with scraps of Pick Your Poison Designer Paper & precut black frames and yes I used the retired Bat punch! (which is on the Clearance Rack at Stampin' Up right now)

Vertical Accordion Fold

This technique can be found on the Fancy Fold & Motion Technique Junkie CD. It is really cute. I love the way you have lots of room to write or display something. I made this one with initials on the second fold and room to write a greeting on the third fold. The base color is So Saffron with So Saffron Designer Paper! Great juvie card!

Baby Chest

My inspiration came from Carole' Anne Sluchinski's blog for this really great baby card. How cute is that! What a great card for a baby shower. I used the Baby Bundle Stampin' Up stamp set for the contents and Pool Party for the chest. Each drawer and the chest was sponged for shading and the knobs are InColor brads.
Don't forget to add a comment on my Technique Junkie post to be entered into the drawing that will take place TUESDAY, October 18! (CLICK HERE) for a chance to win the 2011 Technique Junkie Newsletter CD with lots and lots of new technique ideas for your crafting fun.

Pop Up Ornament

I saw this on YouTube by Tami White and I could not wait to make one. (Excuse the photos) So I am posting for you! It is so cool. It is a pop up ornament.
It folds flat (1 1/2 x 1 1/2) and when you slide the bead it pops open! What a neat idea! Quick and easy to make too!

Boy does time fly, Halloween is just around the corner! This is the core left from glue dots covered and added to a scallop base. Fill with candy and there you have it! Great idea for Halloween, Christmas, Birthday or just a little surprise. More to come...

New Recycle

My friend gave me a few of these little plastic containers that had string of pearls in them. I had to recycle. The Baker's twine fits perfectly and a little decoration will make a great addition to your stamping area.
I just love recycling, don't you! Thanks Marion.
Until next time!

Altered Milk Carton Die

This little treat holder was made from using 2 of the milk carton dies and filled with lots of goodies! The DSP is from last year but you can change the colors up and down for all types of occasions. What a great addition to using this die for more than a 4 sided milk carton.

Light & Shawdow Technique

This is a technique featured in Technique Junkies Newsletter in October of 2007. The flower card I received from the very talented Pamela Fredrickson. The Christmas Lodge card I made using the Light & Shadow Technique and SU's My Digital Studio! It's a great technique for using the program and Voila' you just print from your printer.
Now what are you doing on the computer - go get inky!
Until next time!
