Easy, Peasy Get Well

I made this card using the Lace Border Punch that is being retired from Stampin' Up. After punching it, I punched 4 different colored pink 1" circles! The sentiment was stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink on a Mambo Melon base. Fun and easy! Would also make a great birthday card or Mother's Day!

Cute Little Dress Card

This cute little dress was featured on Splitcoast Stampers and I spotted it on Becky Roberts blog. What a great idea for a gift card, teenager card, birthday card or any occasion you pick. The background was done by brayering ink on your embossing folder and it adds so much depth to your card.

I have been so busy all day creating classes for May and trying to get back in the swing of things since I took some time off. Can't wait to start classes and workshops again.

Get Well

Poppy Parade is the base for this card using Antique Attic (retiring) Designer Paper. Perfectly Penned (122892) and Thoughts and Prayers (inside sentiment) were the stamp sets used. I think I will make a matching envelope for this card using the Diagonal Score Pad!

Oh I almost forgot! The little flower was made using the packing paper from Stampin' Up shipments! It's punched using the scallop circle about 6 times. Scrunch up each one, open them up and punch a hole in the middle attaching the layers with a brad then re-scrunch! I sprayed this with gold smooch and rubbed it with Poppy Parade ink on the edges. Too cute and so easy!

Thanks for stopping by.

Criss-Cross Card

I made this criss-cross card as a sample. I kept it simple and used Designer Paper for the base. I added lots of butterflies and a framed Framelit sentiment! As an accent, the envelope was dressed up by lining it with matching paper and stamped a matching flower (Fabulous Florets). Anyone would love receiving this unique card. They are fun to make and quite interesting! AND it fits a standard envelope!

Slippers

I purchased this cute little pattern from Valita's Fresh Folds. She is so creative and you can decorate these for lots and lots of occasions. She even made bunny slippers for Easter! I used the Sweet Shop Designer Paper and the Pouch Big Shot Die. They are so cute in real life! You can fill each 'slipper' with candy or gift cards.

Hop on over to Valita's for the tutorial.

Happy Easter

I used MDS (My Digital Studio) to create this card and used the 'out of the box' technique which means part of the image is out of the label framelits. I love being able to add all the Baker's Twine. I used 3 different colors to match the designer paper.

I hope everyone has a blessed Easter and remember Christ is the reason for the season!

Picnic Basket

Here's a little picnic basket I made just because... I added a butterfly and flowers to dress it up a bit and stamped it with the Woodgrain Background Stamp and distressed it around the edges with Soft Suede. Great little box for a gift or fill with candy!

I wanted to let you know I won't be posting for a while. My dear, dear friend in NC (about 250 miles away) was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer this week and I am going down to stay with her for a while. She means alot to me and please put her in your prayers (Sue).

Dying Eggs!

Jake and Grandpa had a really great time dying eggs! I was surprised that Jake did not make a big mess but did very good! We ended up with 8 eggs but he ate TWO along the way since they somehow got broken!!! LOL And after dying, bathtime was in order! The day was 'Eggs-tra Special' for all!

Have a Happy Easter!

Happy Easter

This Easter Card was inspired by the very talented, Mary Fish. Using the 'backside' of the rabbit enhances this card and makes it very quick and easy to make. So if you are in a pinch for Easter cards, this will do the trick!

Small leaf from the Build a Blossom Punch; 3/4 Circle for head and Small Oval for the Body!

Going 3D

This technique is featured in the new April Technique Junkie Newsletter. Don't you just love how the clover pops off the page! I wanted to use my Scrabble Tiles from my stash but did not have a 'k' so I improvised. I had seen a similar card on the web which was my inspiration. So Saffron is the background and I used the Hearts Sizzlit for the clover.

Thanks to Heather Wright-Porto I am hoping my blog is fixed. The spacing was really bad and seems once it was fixed (again thanks, Heather) it corrected all my previous posts!
