Boo Boo Bunny

My friend, Cindy showed me how to make these cute little Boo Boo Bunnies. I KNOW - nothing to do with stamping but they are so cute I thought I'd share. Use the thinnest washcloth you can find, roll opposite corners diagonally to meet in the middle. Fold the head down and the ears will automagically be formed!

You get the re-freezable ice cubes for the middle. When a child gets a 'boo-boo' you insert the frozen ice cube in the bunny and Voila' - Boo Boo Bunny. It's small for little hands and snuggly! They are so cute, thanks Cindy.

Until next time!

Quick Valentines for Kids

Thanks to Janet over at RemARKable Creations I was able to make these Valentines for my grandson's preschool! She included a .pdf so you could print lots of the images. Each baggie contains 5 valentines for them to color and give to their friends but it also contains a little box of 4 crayons. She got hers at Target in the $1.00 bins but ours did not have them so I got them from the 'party' section and had to cover the boxes with More Amore Designer Paper.

The images were from My Digital Studio. Click here to go to her blog and get the .pdf if you'd like to make these. The heart decoration was from the Special Valentine bundle! I know the kids will love them!

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Jake and I made Red Velvet Cupcakes from a mix his Nana gave us for Christmas. He had a BALL but it's really something to make a 'red' anything with a 3 year old! LOL It was so much fun.

Well the snow is almost gone in Central Virginia and supposed to be in the 60's next week sometime. WOW what weird weather! But now it's time to STAMP!

Until next time!

Technique Junkies Design Team Blog Hop

“Welcome to my blog!  Today, the Technique Junkies Newsletter Designers are sharing some great artwork from our brand new CD - Shimmer, Glimmer, Sparkle and Shine!  If you haven’t started at the beginning of the hop, visit Judy Jackson on the Designer’s Blog so as not to miss a thing!

Tricia O'Bin did a fantastic job, don’t you think?”

I choose this technique called Glittering Velvet for this really cool 'Hoppy Birthday' card. Only one of many to choose from!

My next card is the Copic Colored Glitter Technique. The focal point is actually very glittery IRL. It's always hard sometimes to capture the true value with a scan.

Now, you’re off to see the amazing project Pat Huntoon has to share”

To see samples of what is on this fabulous CD - CLICK HERE!

See my LEFT sidebar for ordering this new CD or any of the other specialty CD's OR Click here. Get your copy on order today and thank you for visiting our blogs and especially leaving those 'very welcome' comments!

O Whale!

This cute little card was inspired by Mary Fish and some of the new 'stuff' from Stampin' Up. The first mat is Tangerine Tango Cardstock then pieces of the Sycamore Street DSP from the Sale-A-Brations collection (FREE with any $50. order beginning January 22) were added all tied together with Summer Stitched Satin ribbon 126846. The scallop was cut using the Petite Frames die (retired).

Stamp Set featured is O Whale! 129132 (he is just toooo cute) from the new mini and you can get the matching Sizzlit Die 129403.  The sentiment was punched with the ole' standby Word Window 119857 and backed with the Modern Label Punch 119849. By changing the sentiment you can use this card for lots of occasions!

One other thing, Stampin Up has FINALLY begun to list the papers that match Designer Papers on the back of each package so we no longer have to look it up! WHOA!!!

Until next time!

Creped Filter Paper

This card was inspired by the very talented Patty Bennett. I used the Creped Filter Paper 129393 from the new mini catalog to create this flower. You punch 4 each of the following: 2 3/8" Scallop Circle 118874; 1 3/4" 119854; 1 1/4" 127811; punch a hole in the center for the brad and then scrunch each layer. Running the marker over top adds a bit of color to make the flower pop.

Bloomin' Marvelous a new Sale A Brations set was used for the sentiment; Designer Printed Brad 122940  and Scallop Dot 124143 ribbon tied it all together. What a fun embellishment to make!

This Crumb Cake card is accented with a Basic Black mat and the focal point is cut using the new Oval Framelits 129381 and trimmed with the Natural 7/16" Trim Ribbon 129287.

Sale-A-Brations is ALMOST here! (Jan. 22)

Masculine

Good Mornin' everyone! Central Virginia is awaiting a minor snowfall this afternoon. Hate it on the roads but it is so beautiful falling!

I wanted to play with some of the new stuff so this card is using the NEW SIMPLY SCORE Board 126192. The mat is Cajun Craze with Marina Mist accents and the base is Early Expresso.

I used the Tasteful Trim Die 120893 with the Parker's Patterns DSP 131021. Vintage Verses 129636 will be introduced January 22 when Sale A Brations starts (FREE with a $50. order). Everyone loves FREE.

Card accents were made with the Scallop Square Punch 119884 and the Curly Label punch 119851 and all tied together with a Neutral Button Collection 119743.

Makes a great masculine card and can be used for Birthday, Sympathy, Note Card, Thank you and just an all around card!

Until next time!

This is Jake cooking! I put it in a lucite frame and a magnet on the back to hang on the refrigerator! He is really into this cooking thing. This gave me the chance to use some of the cooking charms from my stash!

Charger for Valentine's Day

These 'Christmas' Plate Chargers have been floating around Pintrest and the internet so I thought I would try one. I bought the charger 1/2 off at Walmart since Christmas is over for .50 cents! BUT Valentine's Day is on the way and it is PERFECT! The plate stand was 4.50 from Walmart so you have a really nice decoration for your home or for a gift for $5.00. Can't beat that!

Since I took this picture I added another flower so it fills the empty space. Don't you just love the glitter paper - fitting as well! I added the paper doilies from the new SU mini!

Sorry I have not posted lately but I had my carpal tunnel surgery yesterday using only a local anesthetic and BELIEVE ME don't do that! Be put to sleep because this surgery is not 'a piece of cake'! Still hurts a lot but have to keep using it.

Until next time!

These are the two 12" x 12" pages we did at the Scrapbook Club last night! Christmas is for 'kids'. He had a ball playing with all his new toys. The base pages are Real Red with accent mats using Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive.

Great start for the New Year!

Moving Forward

Using the 'trike' from the set Moving Forward! Stampin' Up donates time and money to support Ronald McDonald House Charties. By purchasing this set (126322) Stampin' Up will donate $3.00 to RMHC.

I used the Ticket Duo Builder (126883) along with the That's the Ticket (128075) to accent the main picture. As a final touch I added 3 mini brads (119737) and a strip of 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon (124143 - Elegant Eggplant)

I filled the box with Hershey's Kisses (always a great candy gift)! Today is the first day of the new mini-catalog.

Santa-tizer

I had to wait till I gave this away to post it for you. It is hand sanitizer but aptly renamed 'Santa-tizer'! How cute is that! Just wrap you bottle with red cardstock or printed red and add 'fur' (white embossed w/ any folder) and a HoHo belt! Just a fun gift.

Then I added the hanging tag made from a piece of thin metal and embossed.

Lindor Truffle 2013

Kimberly Morris at Procastistamper Blog created this cute little Lindor Truffle box for New Year's just to keep from eating them all herself! (Good 'nuf reason for me) It is quite easy and she included the instructions and a file to print the labels! Check it out.

This little container holds 4 Lindor Truffles! Don't you love 'em? I sure do! As you can tell it is empty!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to YOU and YOURS and you will be happy and prosperous throughout the coming year, 2013!
