Challenge 216 - Happy Easter

Challenge 216
3D project

This week we need some great ideas for treat holders or place card holders or any 3D object. You still have time to play along – Monday AM!  Pull out your supplies and get creating!

Want to see what the design team created?  Check it out on our blog

When you get your creation made, you can upload it also to the blog.

Can't wait to see what you share with us! This week I recycled and 3D'd and it looks like an egg filled with goodies!  HAPPY EASTER

I used a canned ham can opened from the bottom using a Pampered Chef can opener that actually unglues the bottom so there are no sharp edges. Fill the container with Easter goodies (lots of goodies) and re-glue the bottom using Crystal Effects. The recipient can open the can now normally using the pull tab!

I used a Simply Scrappin’ Kit to embellish the can!

Until next time!

All Dressed Up Lipstick Holder

What a cute way to display your lipstick! I personally don't have a tube of lipstick but the tubes fit perfectly. I use the lip gloss type so it fits too. Just another way to use the All Dressed Up Framelit and stamp! You can get the bundle from the mini catalog - Pg. 32 - 131095 saving 15%. OR you can get the Framelits Dress Up Die 130101 and the All Dressed Up Stamp Set 129174. I personally was NOT going to order this but I am so glad I did now. There are so many things you can do with it!
I know you have someone on your 'gift' list that would love one of these. The one I saw was done in black for that 'Little Black Dress' effect! I originally saw this on Regina's Workin' Out the Inks blog. It is so cute and easy to make.

Until next time!

Cupcake Oven!
Ladies: Another great Tanya Bell (StampingT) creation! I purchased the pattern from her website and it was super easy to follow. BUT it does not come with a cupcake so I guess it baking time or bakery time! Is it not the cutest thing ever! Check her out, she creates some of the best 3D objects.

First Day Home

Here's Josie, her first day home! The scans are so pink... her color is great and not so pink but that's the scan. She's catching a few Z's. This is the 8 x 8 kit in the Occasions Mini called Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' 129302 - Pg 31. I also purchased the 8x8 Designer Printed Ring Album 129303 because it comes as a bundle saving you $$$ - 131103.

Gift Card Holders

Another fabulous idea from Tanya Bell over (or should I say 'down under') at Stamping T! She uses the Pop N Cuts die 130099 from Stampin' Up in the Spring Mini Catalog and has also provided a super easy video with full instructions! Check it out.

The one using Calypso Coral has an area for your greeting or message and then a slot for your gift card. I love them both. I had pondered even buying this die but now I am glad I did.

Easter Treat

Yet another use for your Stampin Up Pop N Cuts Die 130099. What a neat little Easter treat box and LOTS of room for treats! (chocolate)! Time to re-think purchase of that die; it is going to be a 'winner'. I just love the little slits so you can close your creation easily. Thanks again to StampingT (Tanya Bell)!

I used MDS to make the little card on the front since I don't have the stamp set, Everything Easter. DSP is retired.

Candy Wrapper Holder

Another super creation using the new Stampin Up Card Base Pop N Cuts die 130099 designed by Tanya Bell at StampingT.com. She has lots of videos posted on YouTube to use this die. The die is a bit pricey but with all these uses, well worth it! I have made a few of the things but will post more later.

Sorry for the blurry picture but... Anyway two of the Candy Wrapper Bigz Die fits perfectly inside 120890. Fill these with treats and Voila'!

Swallowtail

I know all of you have seen that 'huge' butterfly and thought 'WOW' what do I do with this one? Well here are three things I did today. The Emboss Resist was inspired by Robin Merriman (she did a marvelous job on this combination) and the Melon Mambo by Mary Fish. The butterfly on my Clear Block Case was cut from vinyl on my Silhouette. I just love that machine!

The emboss resist is done from a piece of Sale A Bration FREE paper using clear embossing powder and accented with Basic Gray ink. The Melon Mambo Swallowtail uses the Melon Mambo embossing powder on Eggplant Envy backed by Old Olive! Great color combo! I hope you enjoy these cards, I really enjoyed making them. I have had the Swallowtail a long time and the Melon Mambo Embossing Powder and just decided to use it! Have a great day!

All Dressed Up

I love these colors and especially the new little clips - Hung Up Cute Clips 129389! I used All Dressed Up stamp set with the matching framelits to make this cute card. The DSP is retired but still a nice background.
Makes a great feminine card!

Resist Technique

Have you tried the reverse embossing technique? The card was inspired by Patty Bennett using the Natural Composition Designer Paper 126917. Red Riding Hood Classic Ink was used as the resist ink. Sentiment was stamped from Feel Goods 129684 stamp set and cut twice with the Window Frame Framlits 129021.
Field Flowers 122762 was stamped on First Edition Designer Specialty Paper 121870. Give it a try it's fun, quick and easy! Thanks for stopping by.

Bookshelf

What a neat card and super way to use your scraps? This paper retired a few years ago but I had some strips of it left so... This card appeared on Pinterest and I saw it on Elizabeth Hurst's Mustache Bash card display at Stampin' Connection.
All book backs are on Dimensionals and I curved the paper a bit thenMakes a great retirement card and especially any masculine card and the best part - for any occasion. Thanks for stopping by.

This technique is called Out of the Box. The blossoms are really spring-like and since we are expecting 12" of snow Wednesday we need all the spring we can get!

Recycle

Well I recycled a tuna can and made a really neat candle holder! I used full clothespins covered with retired SU Christmas paper accented with a bow using the Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle ribbon 127841. I added a few flowers from the Embellishments Artisan Kit 129328 with an added ticket punch label.

The candle is one of the battery operated ones and really puts out light in the dark. Just a little easy, peasy gift idea to share! You could use any paper and decoration so this would be ideal for any occasion. Thanks again for stopping by.
