Merry...

After quite a battle with the new Expressions Thinlits Dies 13217 and FINALLY finding out from the super group, Late Night Stampers, when you cut them use a wax paper layer on top then the card stock and it comes out EASILY! The Thinlits say - Thankful, Love or Merry and are so stylish!

I did however dry emboss using the new Thinlits. And don't you just love the new Christmas Designer Paper Season of Style 132340 and I am really loving adding the DSP to my envelopes using the Envelope Liners Framelits Dies 132172. I actually made two cards using the Thinlits. One I had seen on Mary Fish's Blog.

ONLY ONE MORE DAY and you can order from the new Occasions Mini! Don't forget today is the last day you can buy 3 Designer Papers and get one FREE!

Until next time!

Challenge 228

Are you ready for a new challenge?  We have a fun one for you.
Challenge 228
Fancy Folds

We want to see lots of different fancy folds this week.  Create a card using a fancy fold and upload it to our blog.

I have a friend retiring soon to the beach so I thought this would be good. Please note inside has a lined framelit so I can write a note! Thought that was a good addition. I used By the Tide Stampin Up Stamp Set with Marina Mist, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.

This fold is called Box Corner Card and is 4 x 4. This techique was featured on the Fancy Fold Technique Junkie CD.

Need some inspiration?  Check out the design team samples HERE
When you get your card completed, you can up load it HERE

Looking forward to seeing what you create!

Until next time!

2014 - TOO soon...

I made this calendar from MDS and with a few cuts will fit a 3.5 x 5 flat plastic picture holder for your refrigerator. BUT due to the fact I can't find those anymore I added a mat to make each month 4 x 6.

Sorry for such a crude pattern but it works!

Then a lady on LNS, Deb Smart, asked what did you do with the other 11 months for storage. SOOO... I made a holder using the cardboard from the back of the DSP. It was so fun to make and makes a great gift!

Until next time!

Recycle

This may seem a bit late to you but I just saw it while surfing around and couldn't resist using an old CD case (like to ones your burnable CD's come in)! What a cute table decoration to be filled with goodies! For a taller hat you can use the case that 100 CD's come in. Be sure it is straight; some are angled and hard to cover! I used a 7" circle cut with my Silhouette by gluing Real Red card stock to the cardboard that comes on the back of the designer paper packs.

You can also use it for Labor Day! Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks...

This is a great idea passed on by Kristen Gill! I love the way it looks with the cut out letters. I used my Cricut to cut the letters for this card and French Foliage Stamp Set. The paper is from the new Mini - called Sweater Weather 132184. It is gorgeous paper and super cool for Fall accented by the new Chevron ribbon.

I simply love this technique and plan on a making more! Sorry the pictures aren't real clear but hopefully you get the idea. I am to so loving lining the envelope with matching paper! It just adds so much to your personal greeting card. Thanks for stopping by.

Sorry for so few posts this week but I have had an upper respiratory infection that set me back a few days but am on the mend!

Until next time!

Time flies...

Boy time has really gotten away with me this week. I did have an expected surprise with a visit from my daughter and two grandkids! We had such a good time catching up.

As most of you know we have been in quite a heat wave and it's really too hot for any outside activity and you'd think stampin' would be most important. At least it is cool inside!

There are so many ways to add extra touches to our cards, and lace is definitely one of those embellishments that you can add to take our cards to the next level!  So our challenge this week is for you to add lace to your project.  You still have time to play along!

Challenge 227 - Lace

I saw these on blogs or Pintrest? not sure where! But loved 'em so I had to CASE them!

This week we want to see lace on your projects. Create a card, scrapbook page, 3D item, or anything else you can thing of and use Lace on it.

Cycle Celebration

This is a CASE from Michelle Zindorf. It was just too cute to pass up. If you click her name, you can go to the complete tutorial for this card. It was fun to create. However I used neutral Trim 129287 rather than the seam binding ribbon.

Also I don't have the circle Framelits so I used my Cricut to cut the circles and for some reason always come out a bit smaller so I could not add the dots. The 'drink' is embossed w/ clear embossing powder after coloring with SU Markers. Candy Dots accent the circle background just perfectly!

Believe it or not, this one was easy, peasy. Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time!

Sneak Peek

I made this card and envelope as a Sneak Peek into the new Holiday mini starting August 1. I used the Winter Frost Designer Paper 132341 which I might add is gorgeous! You can't see it on the scan but the silver lines just sparkle.

The chevrons were made using the new Chevron Punch 132154 punched using the Pool Party cardstock. The Festive Flurry 131781 stamp set was used on the snowflake topped with Diamond Dust and cut with the Festive Flurry Framelit 132193 which can be purchased as a bundle!!!

THEN to top that off... use the Envelope Liner Framelit  132172 to make a matching envelope! Can't wait till you can order? Won't be long!
